Meet The Founder

Alanna Brock founded The Brock Group in 2017 with the goal of helping private equity fund managers and other financial firms develop effective investor communications and deliver compelling annual meetings.

 

She began her career at TrueBridge Capital Partners, a venture capital firm with over $2 billion in assets, where as an early member of the team she grew the firm’s marketing and investor communications function over eight years. During her time at TrueBridge, Alanna led the development of the firm's brand identify, investor communications platform, and numerous marketing initiatives, as well as the preparation and production of each year's annual investor meeting. She also completed an externship with venture firm Andreessen Horowitz in the spring of 2012, supporting the marketing and public relations team. 

Prior to founding The Brock Group, Alanna spent a year as a member of the investor relations and marketing team at a $3B quantitative hedge fund, where she executed the redesign of the firm's website, investor portal, and monthly report.

Alanna earned a Master of Arts in Technology and Communications from the School of Media and Journalism at the University of North Carolina (UNC), where she focused her graduate work on maximizing the persuasiveness of venture capital fund pitch books. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric and Political Science from UNC, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with highest honors. Between academic programs, Alanna earned a certificate from the Carolina Business Institute at the UNC-Kenan Flagler Business School. Alanna also holds a Series 3 license.
