Meet The Founder

Alanna Brock founded The Brock Group in 2017 with the goal of helping private equity fund managers and other financial firms strategically and effectively communicate with their investor audience.


She began her career at TrueBridge Capital Partners, a venture capital firm now with over $5 billion in assets, where she started as an early employee and built the firm’s marketing and investor communications function. As Vice President, Alanna led the development of the firm’s brand identity, investor communications platform, and various marketing initiatives including the preparation and production of eight annual investor meetings, two rebrands, multiple website portals, hundreds of investor-focused marketing communications, as well as several prominent investor lists published in collaboration with Forbes Media. During her time at TrueBridge she also completed a marketing externship with venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz.


Prior to founding The Brock Group, Alanna spent a year on the investor relations and marketing team at a $3B quantitative hedge fund. 

Alanna earned a Master of Arts in strategic digital communications from the School of Media and Journalism at the University of North Carolina (UNC), where she focused her graduate work on maximizing persuasive best practices of venture capital fund pitch books. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in both rhetoric and political science from UNC, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with highest honors.
